Quintessence ...

If you have followed my site since it's beginning, you'd know about this great Progressive Metal band from Germany that, to me, are one of the biggest overlooked bands to emerge from the underground that are as good as anyone else out on the National circuit.

Besides a few releases, Factory Of Art have conjured up a fictional concept story for "The Tempter" with interesting "Adam" and "Eve" characters with "Adam" committing a double murder to "Eve" and "Dr. Tempter"; a very interesting and twisted plot/storyline. 12 tracks that just hit a few seconds over an hour and has to be the strongest songwriting they've ever done despite all their releases are damn good in my book. "The Tempter" reminds me of stuff like Evergrey, Pain Of Salvation, Savatage with some Mekong Delta,Dream Theater, Opeth and Believer...amazing songwriting. I already know this release will be somewhere in my top 5 for the "final poll' at the end of the year; a must for any Metal fanatic..FOA plays some colossal stuff.

Flyer Review

"The Tempter"-- a strong conceptional album continuing "The Story Of Pain" pilot which delves into the mind of a serial killer. All the pain, the passion and suspense are locked within each song letting the story unfold right before you little by little, clue by clue and note by note.....very strong, emotional and epic songwriting; writing that intelligent that this could be an actual full-length movie with one great Metal soundtrack....one listen and you'll agree!
